Job Summary

Housing and Dining Services at the University of Colorado Boulder is welcoming applications for an Administrative Assistant II, Newton Coordinator. This position functions as the Newton Coordinator (Administrative Assistant II). They will be working with applicants and residents in Newton Court from offering an apartment to the final check out of the apartment. They open and close the office, answer phone and counter questions, track missing documents, create flyers, and help with a monthly newsletter. Customer service is a big part of their job.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Customer Service
  • Provide high-quality customer service by establishing a consistently helpful and informative relationship with residents, staff, the general public, and other university personnel. Of prime importance are accessibility and a positive attitude. Gathers and disseminates information to students, staff, guests, and visitors in a well-organized, courteous, and effective manner by telephone, e-mail, signs, forms, and over the counter communication. Complete rental references, be first at the counter or to answer the phone, check voice mail daily.  
Newton Coordinator
  • Handle all contact with residents in Newton Court, including preparing move-in paperwork, e-mails, maintenance issues, final check out of the apartment, and charges. Will be an expert on the Newton Court apartments and be able to answer questions concerning the areas.
 Administrative Duties
  • Assist Office Manager with Administrative Duties, maintain Facebook page, and any other social media outlets, receive and respond to the GFO general email and any other duties assigned by the office manager.
Night and Weekend Move-ins
  • Responsible for putting together packets and getting out keys and paperwork for residents moving in after business hours.

The anticipated starting salary is $34,752.

What We Require

Two years of general clerical experience.

What You Will Need

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • One year experience in rental/apartment administration. 
  • Operational knowledge of computer technology.
