Job Summary

The Department of Biochemistry at CU Boulder seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2020.  The successful applicant’s research should focus on mechanistic and structural investigations of biological processes by single particle cryo-EM or electron cryotomography, and by complementary techniques. Who We Are

The Department of Biochemistry has approximately 20 faculty members, 75 research faculty, more than 60 graduate students, and 450 undergraduate students. We are housed in the new state of the art Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building designed to facilitate collaborations between scientists and students from multiple disciplines to address critical challenges in the biosciences.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Applicants are expected to establish an innovative research program in structural biology, and to take full advantage of the Department’s new Titan Krios TEM (to be installed in fall of 2019). The candidate is expected to lead a productive, externally funded research program and take an active role in undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field.
