Job Summary

T​he Department of Chemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks to hire two tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of organic chemistry to begin in the Fall of 2025. Candidates in all traditional fields and emerging sub-fields of organic chemistry, chemical biology, and organic materials will be considered. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, chemical biology, catalysis or a related field, and are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in chemistry. The successful candidate is expected to develop an active externally funded research program focused on organic synthesis, catalysis, organometallic chemistry, chemical biology, or organic materials, among others. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Develop a creative research program, attract external funding, provide research training for graduate and undergraduate students, teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, and participate in service activities.

What We Can Offer

  • W​e offer a competitive salary and start up package. Starting salary will be within the posted range of $100,000-$105,000 depending upon accomplishments, including publication record, external funding, and years of experience in a comparable faculty position. We also offer a moving allowance.
  • If within a 12-month period you exercise your right to willfully terminate your employment with the University of Colorado, you hereby agree to reimburse the department for your relocation expense.​
