Job Summary

The Department of Journalism in the College of Media, Communication, and Information (CMCI) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for an assistant teaching professor of journalism. This position will begin in August of 2025.

The department is interested in candidates who can teach a range of applied journalism courses at both the undergraduate and MA level. The candidate should also have the ability to teach conceptual courses across our curriculum. The successful candidate will have university teaching experience.

The candidate will be open to creative interchange with colleagues. The candidate should have demonstrated commitment to and experience with inclusive pedagogies and the mentoring of a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate students. The position involves teaching three classes per semester. At least an MA degree in journalism or a related field is required.

  • Teach three journalism courses per semester, six per academic year

The salary range for this position is $71,000-$74,000.
