Job Summary

​​The Department of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position. The top candidate will be a teaching specialist and have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence in economics courses and a passion for undergraduate teaching. Exceptional candidates with more than 7 years of experience may be considered for an Associate Teaching Professor position. The expected teaching load is six semester courses per year. The position will start in Fall 2024.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

​​The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate economic courses and provide professional service to the department and university. 

What We Can Offer

  • ​​Assistant Teaching Professor: $65,000-$70,000 
  • ​Associate Teaching Professor: $70,000-$75,000 
  • ​The final candidate may be eligible for moving expenses subject to university policy. ​

What We Require

​​​The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or Ph.D. in a closely related discipline. While ordinarily, you should have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by August 2024, it is possible for you to have finished all but the dissertation to begin work as an instructor while completing the degree.
