Job Summary

The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a CRM Marketing Manager of Admissions! This position will be responsible for the development and support of the CRM database (Slate). As our CRM Marketing Manager, you will supervise the development and implementation of drip campaigns, features, functions and shared knowledge derived from and regarding Slate with a diverse group of partners. Every day, you will work with the Leeds marketing team to ensure the quality of Graduate Programs is properly represented on our website, in our emails/materials, and within our application. Experience in database management (ideally in Slate Technolutions), drip campaigns, data integrity, portal development and management, and event and form building are ideal.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Admissions and Marketing Recruitment

  • Develops campaigns, content, materials, etc. to support the admissions team’s recruitment efforts:
    • Build, manage and improve drip campaigns to prospects, applicants and confirmed students in order to engage and build a strong pipeline of future Leeds graduate students. CRM should include student and alumni stories, videos, and Leeds value statements and differentiators.
  • Create, manage and edit communication materials/handouts, email and text content, as well as other digital and print platforms to promote all of Leeds Graduate Programs.
  • Partners with Leeds Marketing and the Director of Admissions to connect Google Analytics to enrollment performance in order to improve results.
  • Website content:
    • Ensure all graduate programs pages on the Leeds website are up to date and accurate with the most current information. Partner with Leeds Marketing to provide prospects and applicants a great experience on our website. Proactively updates Admissions deadlines and removes past deadlines and/or events. Makes routine edits/updates as requested by Admissions staff members. Collaborates with Leeds Web team to offer engaging content and up to date program information.

Slate CRM Database Management

  • Configures, develops, and maintains the Slate CRM system for all Graduate Admissions recruitment and communications.
  • Assist in the development, management, and deployment of Slate CRM workflows (rules, decisions, dashboards, campaigns, and messages) to ensure consistent processes. Build fields and prompts, source formats, queries, and many other pieces in Slate to support recruitment and communications. Collaborate with admissions team to implement and improve business practices by demonstrating Slate technology.
  • Creates forms, portals, populations, fields, prompts, event templates, and set up rule automations, as needed. Seeks to understand the current workflows and database management policies, including routine processes for entity management and creation. Maintains database user accounts and user management standards. Is responsible for daily Slate CRM Database maintenance, query and report development, process automation, data integrity, database security, portal development and management, event and form building, staff training, and constituent management.
  • Provides back up to the Admissions and CRM Database Manager.

Enrollment Analytics and Reporting

  • Partners with the Admissions and CRM Database Manager to analyze data and metrics and identify meaningful insights and trends from marketing campaigns and activities. Work as part of a team to develop an analysis and reporting plan to encompass recruitment and admissions activities, enrollment analysis, and effectiveness of various marketing efforts.
  • Understand marketing data from Slate and provide reports and recommendations for the admissions team to improve results and successfully meet enrollment goals.
  • Run reports for the Director of Graduate Admissions and Graduate Dean as requested. Provide data graphically as needed for presentations.

Admissions Processing

  • Partners with the operations team to manage workflows through the Slate database.
  • Supports the admissions team in understanding bin management, running committee meetings, as well as other areas of the application process.
  • Cross-trains with the admissions coordinator and the Admissions and CRM Database Manager to cover roles during vacation and sick days.

We anticipate this position will support a hybrid format (remote and in-person work).

What We Can Offer

The salary range is $60,000- $67,000 annually. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of three years professional experience, with one to three years’ experience in CRM marketing technology.

    • Ability to run reports in a CRM (Slate and Salesforce) and not only provide data to leadership but also be able to offer trends and results.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

    • This person is a member of a small team who are responsible for the enrollment goals of Graduate Programs - it is important this person works well on a team and understands the importance of everyone succeeding in their roles.
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under stress - the team implements many events, processes many applications all with the pressure to meet and exceed all enrollment goals.
  • Excellent writer, communicator, and with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong technical/CRM knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated performance and process management skills, along with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Slate CRM experience.
  • Strong MS Excel/technology skills required.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM.
  • Previous professional experience working in higher education, preferably a business school.
  • Two or more years of marketing technology experience and support in a higher education environment, preferably in admission and enrollment.
