Job Summary

The Office of Admissions welcomes applications for a Communication Coordinator. The Communication Coordinator is primarily responsible for creating multi channel marketing content and executing multiple marketing campaigns supporting student recruitment and yield efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets. This position participates as a member of the internal Marketing and Communication team; collaborates with multiple admission recruitment teams as well as campus partners; and provides support for the strategic development, design, execution, analysis and management of all assigned marketing campaigns within the Office of Admissions’ integrated marketing and communication plan.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Write copy for web, blogs, emails, printed publications, and presentations and prepares final marketing content and visuals for distribution. 
  • Actively seek out student, faculty, staff and alumni stories that support the strategic messages central to campaigns. 
  • Coordinate interviews and photo/video shoots as appropriate. 
  • Use a wide range of media including email, social media, web, video and print and ensures that all media are fully utilized and coordinated with all marketing campaigns by working closely and collaboratively with marketing and communication team members. 
  • Use the Office of Admissions’ CRM system, especially for, but not limited to, developing campaigns; creating, testing and validating audiences developing HTML documents; testing; sending; tracking and assessing marketing tactics.
  • Collaborate with multiple admissions teams and campus partners and with guidance from their supervisor, supports the strategic development, design, execution, analysis and management of multiple marketing campaigns supporting recruitment and yield efforts across a broad spectrum of niche markets.     
  • Stay abreast of industry developments to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities including: changes in regulations, technology, and best practices.

The anticipated salary range starts at $40,000.

What We Require

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, advertising, writing or a related field.
  • Minimum one year experience coordinating marketing campaigns and/or communication projects for a professional organization.
  • Minimum one year professional writing experience with thorough knowledge of grammar.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Demonstrated ability to self-monitor quality control and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple marketing campaigns and/or communication projects at once.

  • Ability to manage and analyze data.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Two years professional marketing or communication experience. 
  • Intermediate experience facilitating collaborative work among marketing professionals in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with HTML and/or an HTML editor, especially Drupal. 
  • Experience with customer relations management systems.
  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically InDesign and/or Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of admissions and/or CU Boulder.
