Job Summary
The University Memorial Center at the University of Colorado, Boulder are currently hiring for a Coordinator for Student Leader Support and Tenant Engagement! Under the general direction of the Ast. Director, the Coordinator for UMC Student Leader Support and Tenant Engagement, is responsible for supporting and advancing student and building engagement priorities for the University Memorial Center (UMC). This position works closely with the UMC leadership team, student organizations and student government. This position will supervise and implement initiatives, programs, and projects that enhance the student leader and tenant experience and cultivate a culture of accountability.

The University Memorial Center (UMC) is an exciting center for activism and community interaction, offering a variety of student services and active student governance. Known as the campus “living room,” thousands of people visit the University Memorial Center every day to grab a bite to eat, enjoy free entertainment, shop the retail stores, study with the free wireless internet or engage with peers. The UMC celebrates diversity through food, dance, art, music and the free exchange of ideas.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Student Leadership Success and Engagement
- Serve as a key liaison between the UMC and CUSG (i.e. finance board and legislative council) student leaders to strengthen relationships and collaborate on critical initiatives.
- Work in conjunction with Student Life Finance and UMC Leadership Team to present and/or advise student leaders on UMC annual and new budgets, and earmarks.
- Represent the UMC at weekly evening CUSG Finance Board meetings and Legislative Council meetings and engage with UMC leadership on relevant UMC-specific financial matters and legislation.
- Connect with UMC Board Chair regularly to understand annual goals, projects, initiatives to advance the Board’s agenda in coordination with the UMC main office.
- Work with UMC Board on RSO allocation, administrative processes, contracts, and compliance on a year-round basis.
Belonging and Community Engagement
- Lead all aspects of, administer, and assist with negotiation of revenue contracts with a variety of building tenants in conjunction with Student Life Revenue Management.
- Responsible for working with tenants and vendors to communicate and reinforce UMC and Campus policies.
- Facilitate UMC tenant, vendor and student year-round engagement and belonging activities.
- Prepare for Fall Opening and Welcome Week activities
- Monitor and track UMC financial earmarks, changes, and new requests to prepare for CUSG Finance Board meetings.
Leadership Activities
- Attend UMC All-Staff Meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Attend and engage in CUSG Finance, UMC Board, and CUSG Legislation Council meetings on behalf of the UMC.
- Support overall UMC professional staff and operations as directed by Ast. Director.
- Engage in and implement critical initiatives and projects including those outlined in the UMC long term Planning Process.
- Other duties as assigned.

- The work modality for this position is hybrid with the opportunity to work one day remotely per week.
What We Can Offer
The annual salary for this position is $53,000.

What We Require

- 1 year of professional, job related experience.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Student Affairs Leadership.
