Job Summary

Facilities Management (FM) encourages applications for an LTC Custodial Trainee Team Cleaning! This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing facilities for students, staff, faculty and customers of the Boulder Campus by sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming floors, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and stocking the restrooms with needed supplies. The trainee will also complete the timely removal of waste and recyclable materials from classrooms, labs, offices halls and other areas using the area floor plans and our Employee Handbook.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Most positions operate on the Team Cleaning concept. The Team Cleaning Program will guide the trainee in developing skills required for the team cleaning specialist positions listed below. They will work their way through the training modules on standard equipment operation and university cleaning standards while gaining growing levels of responsibility. 
  • Maintain and clean building interiors and furnishings in state institutions, and facilities
  • Follow sanitary standards; wash, wipe, dust, scrub, scour, launder, disinfect, vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, and polish surfaces, floors, walls, windows, lavatories, furnishings, and fabric
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Assignments may include keeping exterior walkways clear of debris and snow

Starting Hourly Rate is $12.50.
