Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder for the campus in Boulder, CO seeks multiple Custodian I – Recreation Services to perform consistent housekeeping tasks in assigned areas using safe work practices and proper housekeeping techniques; perform duties in variety of areas, as well as team assignments for daily cleaning and sanitizing; help in other areas and performing team cleaning duties when needed; primarily responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing facility, including locker rooms and restrooms; sweep and vacuum floors using manual and power equipment; mop and scrub floors; clean woodwork, walls, and windows using common household equipment and cleaning products; keep equipment and supplies in order and request supplies when needed; auto scrub basketball courts; clean, stock, and inventory custodial closets; fill soap, toilet paper, and paper towel dispensers; report broken fixtures or equipment to supervisor.

What You Will Need

  • 12 months of previous experience in a custodial or housekeeping position in a recreational facility. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Position required for the 1st shift Monday to Friday 4 AM to 12:30 PM.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and communicate and deal with individuals in a tactful manner.
