Job Summary

The Office of Advancement is inviting applications for a Digital Marketing and Engagement Architect (DMEA). The DMEA is instrumental in managing and organizing the Advancement Marketing and Communication’s (AMC) digital communication strategies. This position is strongly focused on the strategic and operational components of the Advancement and Alumni websites and digital marketing. In addition to contributing to the AMC’s website initiatives, the DMEA creates and maintains event registration forms through Cvent, crafts email content and executes email campaigns in Marketing Cloud. This position evaluates and integrates new ideas across email and website platforms to achieve the AMC’s goals to inform, inspire and engage. The incumbent should be a self-starter, have a passion for strategic marketing, and a desire to work in a creative marketing environment where marketing and communications plans are created purposefully to tell stories and to drive Advancement’s mission. The position will work in an integrated, cross-functional environment, including working collaboratively with the Digital Marketing and Engagement Team, designers, and internal and external developers and partners. Attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure, juggle multiple marketing and communications projects simultaneously and work collaboratively is required.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Provide support in strategy development, planning and execution of web development efforts and department-wide interactive marketing efforts. 
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and copywriters on website content strategy and user journeys. 
  • Provide strategic marketing insight across websites, including brand, innovation and design thinking, customer journey mapping, user experience management, content management, SEO and analytics.
  • Collaborate with AMC’s leadership to develop brand-specific digital marketing objectives, strategies and tactics.
  • Share the university’s stories using our websites to help foster connectivity with our constituents.
  • Advise on content integrity of websites and monitoring of live sites.
  • Ensure sites are displaying properly and providing a positive user experience across devices.
  • Oversee the ongoing development and performance tracking of the Advancement website and Alumni family of websites; recommend enhancements to improve success. 
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing plans and assist with other marketing projects on an as needed basis. 
  • Create and maintain event registration forms through Cvent while envisioning strategic purpose behind registration tools processes. 
  • Contribute marketing content for email campaigns and execution of email campaigns through Marketing Cloud.

What We Can Offer

Salary Range Starts at $48,000 commensurate with experience.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or comparable field. Appropriate experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis. 
  • Experience creating digital strategies. 
  • Project management experience.

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills as well as exceptional attention to detail.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing or related profession.
  • Advanced use and understanding of HTML coding.
  • Knowledge in website application design and building.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Experience working in higher education.
