Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Donor and Alumni Relations team encourages applications for a Donor and Alumni Relations Assistant! This position is part of a professional and hard-working advancement team that provides opportunities for alumni to engage with the College of Arts and Sciences, retain donors and generate philanthropic support for the college.

This position will provide support to the Program Director, as well as other members of the Donor and Alumni Relations team (DART), in their work to support the College of Arts & Sciences, Graduate School, as well as the Libraries and Conference on World Affairs.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Run weekly acknowledgment report and process and send acknowledgments for the Graduate School, Libraries and Conference on World Affairs, communicating with departmental contacts to keep process on track
  • Work with Program Manager for Acknowledgments on process improvements and program updates
  • Assist with donor stewardship initiatives, including tracking fund agreement results and getting scholarship recipient letters to donors
  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of alumni and stewardship events
  • Assist with the tracking, stewardship and engagement of volunteers for the college
  • Provide administrative support for the Program Director, Donor and Alumni Relations and the Donor and Alumni Relations Team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, processing expenses, etc.
  • Update the alumni and donor database with current contact information, notes, contact reports, referrals, etc. to ensure the most current and relevant information is available in the Advance system

We offer a hybrid work schedule with a combination of remote and in-office days.

What We Can Offer

The salary range is $45,000- $52,850 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree can be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • 1 year of administrative experience.

What You Will Need

  • Expert knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet (excel) and database management software (e.g. BSR Advance and Microsoft Office). 
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, protocol, and integrity.
  • Expert ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, manage time and meet due dates.
  • Proven data entry skills with ability to input information accurately.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records, files, and reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Solid knowledge of database management with the ability to query reports and use data.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy, confidentiality, discretion and collaboration with all levels of staff members, faculty, alumni and donors
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Database applications such as Advance, or similar software.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • 3+ years of administrative experience in non-profit, events and/or advancement.
