Job Summary

CU Boulder encourages applications to join the Embark startup creator as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)! We are seeking up to 10 motivated EIRs to create new startups that commercialize CU Boulder's breakthrough innovations. We are looking for hardworking individuals to launch new startups with CU Boulder's highest potential technologies. EIR's will function as founders and CEO's of their own startups, and are eligible to compete for startup funding and other resources available to CU Boulder startup founders. Join the team and participate in the journey of bringing innovations from the university to the world!

This is a 6-month temporary position and provides a paid stipend. Applicants for the Embark EIR positions will participate in a unique selection process. From mid-June to mid-August, select applicants will join a competitive process that culminates in a final pitch by applicants for the startup they wish to launch. 5-10 EIR position offers will be made from the larger pool of competitors based on submitted applications and startup pitches. The process will include applicant orientation and information sessions, access to a portfolio of available technologies and their inventors, and special workshops to help applicants prepare their pitches.

The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
