Job Summary

The Environmental Engineering Microbiology and Disinfection Lab within the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) is seeking to hire an Environmental Technician! CU Boulder is undertaking a built environment study with the Denver Public Schools to assess improvements to indoor air quality by implementing portable HEPA air purifiers in 60 classrooms. The study classrooms will be located in schools with both high ventilation (n=10) and low ventilation (n=10) HVAC systems. Data from real-time, continuous indoor air quality monitoring (particulate matter (PM) and carbon dioxide (CO2)) will be used to assess how portable HEPA air purifiers can lower bioaerosol inhalation exposures of the occupants in all classrooms. The study will take place from October 2020-Summer 2021.  This position will support the collection of field data in June 2021.
