Job Summary

The Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (CRDDS) encourages applications for a Center Coordinator. This individual provides a full range of logistical and administrative support for the Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (CRDDS). The incumbent reports directly to CRDDS leadership but interacts with a wide range of staff, faculty, students, alumni, and community members. This role involves working closely with a variety of campus and community individuals and requires active problem solving and effective interpersonal skills.

Who We Are

The Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (CRDDS) is a collaboration between Research Computing and University Libraries, offering a full range of data services for both university and community members. Our aim is to promote research data management mandated by federal funding agencies and journal publishers, cyberinfrastructure to gain full benefit from big data, digital scholarship to explore tools and methods used in digital research, and education and training.  

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Event Support
  • Coordinates logistical aspects of CRDDS events throughout the year, including scheduling, arranging for catering, room reservations, maintaining information about trainings, participant registration, and coordinating related mailings. 
  • Writes, communicates, and implements policies and procedures for CRDDS event support. 
  • Serves as the main point of contact for event organizers and CRDDS Directors. 
Center Administration
  • Handles the CRDDS virtual help desk by triaging email questions to the appropriate director. 
  • Posts weekly event calendar and liaises with building management in Norlin Library. 
  • Serves as liaison between CRDDS and the Communications Manager to coordinate content, design, and production for events, exhibits, signage, and websites. 
  • Leads content on the CRDDS website and runs the CRDDS digital sign(s).
Room Scheduling
  • Approve room reservation requests for CRDDS room booking and approves CRDDS room reservations using Outlook. 
  • Manage key access and ordering for the room. 
Faculty Support/Certificate Program Support
  • Assists with supporting graduate faculty appointments and certificate program implementation for CRDDS.

What You Should Know

This is a part-time, 50% appointment.

The anticipated starting salary for this 50% part-time position is $18,250 annually.

What We Require

  • Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. 
    • Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must be a Colorado resident.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook.
  • Ability to advocate for an environment of diversity, inclusion, and respect.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Experience coordinating events, including outreach, catering arrangement, and room reservations.
