Job Summary

Campus Dining Facilities with CU Boulder is now encouraging applications for a General Laborer! This position will serve as a resource to support other groups within CDS, and will work independently to perform a range of tasks, including hood cleaning, floor and patio cleaning, as well as some receiving and storage.

Campus Dining Services leads the industry with outstanding quality food and dining experiences. Campus venues include residential dining halls, catering and retail outlets with staff who strive to make each student's experience the best it can be. Serving about 3 million meals each year, Campus Dining Services is dedicated to growing sustainability efforts and providing options to guests with dietary restrictions and allergens.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Hood Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain hood canopy and grease wells of all exhaust hoods to avoid grease build-up
  • Wash and replace grease canopy filters
  • Coordinate with restaurant leads to schedule convenient times to perform work

Floor Cleaning

  • Responsible for routine cleaning of hard floors and soft surface/carpet
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors applying manual and automated equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Dock, Patio, & Outdoor Cleaning

  • Perform routine grounds cleaning of dock, compost and dumpster area, and patios of CDS facilities.
  • Rearrange outdoor furniture as needed for special events.

General Cleaning/Recycle

  • Perform high level dusting on light fixtures and vents, deep cleaning of food transport containers, cleaning and removing tape, scuff marks, gum etc. from furniture fixtures and equipment.
  • Remove and discard recyclable into appropriate containers

Receiving & Storage

  • Assist Material Handlers and Equipment Operators with rotating stock, as well as storing goods for CDS operations.

Other

  • Assist other facilities and participate in Campus Dining Services special events as requested.

What You Should Know

  • Must work late nights and weekends.
  • Positions with campus dining services are subject to changes in work schedule and campus location.

What We Can Offer

  • The annual salary for this position is $37,440.
