Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder and Leeds School of Business encourages applications for an HR and Faculty Support Services Administrator! This position is responsible for providing professional support for both the Leeds HR and Faculty Support Services (FSS) team. The HR and FSS Administrator will work closely with the Director of HR and FSS and HR Manager to determine priorities throughout the year as well as be responsible for ongoing administrative tasks. This role is essential to support all employees at Leeds and contribute towards the creation of a positive employee experience.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

HR Support
  • Staff Onboarding and Offboarding
    • Manage new starter appointments for student employees and staff employees. This includes independent decision making to ensure that all new student employees have completed the necessary responsibilities associated with beginning their appointment. Additionally, the role guarantees that all staff employees have access to required systems essential for Leeds’ employees.
    • Responsible for the implementation of continuous orientations throughout the year for all staff employees. The orientation is the initial impression of Leeds to employees and this position guarantees that the orientation provides a professional and welcoming experience. The orientation approach also involves connecting with all new student employees to offer a welcome zoom call each semester.
    • Accountable for organizing the offboarding of staff and student employee leavers. The position ensures that the employee has completed all necessary actions and provides feedback to Leeds HR about their employee experience for Leeds to continue creating a culture of a great place to work. The offboarding process also includes the termination of the appointment and securing an exit interview.
    • Guarantee an accurate understanding for Leeds of the current employee structure which is published on the employee intranet as a resource each month.
  • Student Lifecycle
    • HR Liaison for all student employees (minimum of 300 appointments) to provide first-class customer service and create a great employee experience. This involves proactive connections, while also be available to support any queries that may arise.
    • Partner with the HR Generalist and Senior HR Coordinator to ensure awareness and compliance with appropriate student employee hiring approach across all departments as a means for integrating top talent into our student employee population.
    • HR Liaison, in partnership with the HR Generalist and Senior HR Coordinator, for student employee supervisors to assist in the complete student employee lifecycle. This includes guidance and support on hiring, payroll, leave management and separations.
  • HR Administration
    • Responsible for the Leeds annual length of service program for all staff members as a key approach for employee recognition and morale support.
    • Engage in Continuous Process Improvement by developing and updating Leeds HR process checklists and making recommendations regarding internal protocols and procedures. Additionally, support in communicating changes to staff in an effective and efficient manner for optimum impact.
    • Guarantee correct monthly staff recognition is provided which involves introducing new employees and celebration of Leeds anniversaries.
    • Provide support to the HR department with ad hoc assistance such as reporting, analysis etc.
    • Collaborate closely with Campus HR Service Center, and as a representative of the Leeds HR team, attending appropriate training and meetings.
Faculty Support Services
  • Faculty and Division Support
    • Act as a liaison to ensure that specific division events are executed successfully. This includes planning, communicating, and implementing agreed events (division conferences, seminars, recruiting visits, workshops).
    • Partner with faculty to coordinate teaching excellence series in both the spring and fall semesters for the faculty members at Leeds.
    • Faculty Support Services Liaison for commencement, division awards and faculty management at graduation to provide a successful and meaningful experience for both our faculty members and graduating students.
    • Provide support with coordinating the annual faculty service assignments.
  • Faculty Appointment Coordination
    • Responsible for aspects of faculty recruiting to guarantee successful searches for vacant positions. This includes working directly with faculty search committees, arranging required trainings, coordinating visits, and supporting the HR Manager throughout the recruitment process to communicate the vacancy through job postings and ads.
    • Collaborate closely with the Leeds Building Manager to ensure faculty office allocations are accurately distributed based on rank and length of service to provide consistency across the school.
    • Responsible for the coordination of the big pulse voting ballot process in the Leeds division chairs and division executive committee elections.
  • Student Accommodation Support
    • Accountable for securing that students at Leeds have appropriate time to complete their exams. This involves liaising with faculty members regarding student needs and providing ODA Exam accommodations.
    • Responsible for executing the process connected to extended time and make up exam accommodations for based on student needs.

What We Can Offer

  • The salary range is $43,000- $50,000 annually.
  • Relocation is available for qualified applicants.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative capacity.
