Job Summary

The Research and Innovation Office is looking to hire a collaborative and energetic Program Manager for the Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) Initiative. The I&E Program Manager position will serve as the Program Manager for the New Venture Challenge and support Catalyze CU. Additionally, this position will have oversight of the Startup Hub and work closely with the Student Innovation Action Team.

The University of Colorado Boulder launched a campus-wide innovation and entrepreneurship initiative in the Fall of 2016. In less than three years, the campus has come together and achieved significant milestones and a cross-campus entrepreneurial mindset. The Research and Innovation Office is looking to hire an events coordinator for the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative. 

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

NVC Program Manager and Catalyze CU Support 
  • Event management: Provide support to NVC through the management and execution of all event planning, including budgeting, securing sites, coordinating with vendors, catering, etc.
  • Communications: May create, revise and implement communication strategies to enhance the NVC program. Responsible for creation of marketing and external relation materials necessary to support the program.
  • Website management: This position is responsible for maintaining the website content for the NVC. Assist in revising content and making changes to website as necessary.
  • Mentor recruitment and management.
  • Team management and support: Collaborate with NVC leadership and administrative staff to further develop program opportunities, and make recommendations for better engagement across the department. Provide collaborative support to Catalyze CU.
  • StartupTree or other database management: Utilize appropriate databases for tracking contacts/partners/collaborators.
  • Sponsorship: Responsible for soliciting sponsorship support. Tracking sponsorships. Managing funds.
I&E Program Management/Administrative Support 
  • Operate and supervise the Startup Hub at Williams Village Center 
    • Other programmatic support as I&E grows
Committee and Special Projects Support
  • Manage logistics (planning, agendas, documents, follow-ups, etc.) for multiple steering committees (I.E. Innovation & Entrepreneurship Steering Committee, Co-Conspirators, etc.).
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by I&E Director.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience. An advanced degree can be substituted for work experience.
  • Experience and ability to make decisions and work with minimal supervision.
