Our goals include, among other campus-wide objectives:
  • Creation of at least four Massive & Automated, For-Credit Online Degrees/Certificates
  • Online Courses directly offer at least 10% of all main campus courses online, leading to online degrees.
As IT Business Analyst for the Online Education Initiative, you will support implementation and maintenance of related applications including collaborating with users, vendors and their technical counterparts to gather requirements and develop solutions that are low to moderate in complexity. You may also be developing or modifying procedures to solve problems with due consideration for business objectives and desired results, as well as providing input into testing requirements. You will need a keen understanding of the business needs and objectives of the campus in order to determine what IT services and applications should be deployed  in support of those needs and objectives. You will also work closely with a Solution Architect, as well as multiple Information Technology offices across the campus.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Manage stakeholder relationships in order to determine specific IT solutions. 
  • For chosen solutions, as part of implementation and deployment, develop any necessary requirements and specifications, possibly including:
    • Process flow models
    • Use cases or user stories
    • Data models
    • UML diagrams that fully communicate requirements and conditions of satisfaction.
  • Lead problem resolution efforts and troubleshooting activities. 
  • Manage relationships involved in the project.
  • Coordinate various aspects of implementations including testing, acceptance testing and training.
  • Professional development to continue to expand  business analysis proficiency.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. A combination of education and/or related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • 1-3 years experience on business analysis assignments that included:
    • Process mapping and solution idea generation
    • Working in complex policy and organizational environments

What You Will Need

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Particularly strong customer skills and ability to interact successfully with key stakeholders.
  • Ability and drive to get up to speed thoroughly and quickly.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP, CCBA).
  • University /Higher Education experience with both administrative offices and academic teams (such as Student Administration, Student Affairs, Academic Administration, Online Programs, etc.)
  • Understanding of, experience with, and a passion for online education systems.
  • Ability to present examples of professional contributions on large, complex implementations and/or projects.
