Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with an extensive background in system and platform engineering using best practices. This role will be responsible for contributing to our ongoing efforts to streamline and automate the delivery of mission critical systems for LASP. As an experienced DevOps Engineer, the successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the DevOps philosophy and be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to increase the efficiency of system and software delivery. The success of this position also requires excellent communication and collaboration skills with software developers and across IT teams.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Implement, optimize, manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software development and deployments.
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development and production environments.
- Manage both on-prem and cloud environments with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
- Implement security best practices throughout all environments.
- Monitor system reliability and be able to resolve issues quickly.
- Stay current with emerging tools and technologies to continuously improve and advance efficiencies.
- Promote the DevOps philosophy across departments and implement operational standards and processes.
- Work as part of a senior team across divisions to ensure system and platform architecture designs adhere to best practices and standards.
- Lead new projects and initiatives as required by the business and leadership.
- Mentor junior DevOps Engineers and student employees of the DevOps team.
- Other duties as assigned.

- This position has a flexible onsite presence requirement with onsite preferred. This position may occasionally require extended hours and/or the ability to provide support outside of normal office hours.

- $130,500.57 - $169,744.74 per year.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years DevOps experience or a master’s degree and at least 5 years of DevOps experience.
- Extensive experience deploying and managing resources in public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools such as Terraform.
- Extensive experience with configuration management technologies such as Ansible or Salt.
- Exceptional communication skills via in-person, phone and email.
What You Will Need
- Strong background in system architecture, design, and documentation.
- Strong background in developing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of containers and container orchestration.
- Extensive experience with version control, specifically Git and Git platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Strong familiarity with the Linux operating system and core services.
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Strong experience and understanding of cloud infrastructure management in AWS.
- Experience in the automation of platform deployment for mission critical systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes in an enterprise environment.
- Experience in software engineering, network engineering, or database implementation.
- Familiarity using any of the HashiCorp suite of tools such as Packer, Vagrant, Consul, Vault, Nomad, and Terraform in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Python or shell scripting and other dynamic scripting languages.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new tasks.
- Resourcefulness to multi-task current projects and flexibility in assignments.
- Excellent time management, organizational and team skills.
- Ability to maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and optimization.
