What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

International Credential Evaluation:
  • Use international high school and university level transcripts to convert international coursework to a standardized 4-point grading scale and determine high school and college degree equivalency. The transcript evaluations will be performed for all applicants with international coursework applying to undergraduate first-year, undergraduate transfer, the Graduate School, and the Leeds School of Business. Reports with converted GPA and degree information will be generated within the Technolutions Slate application system for use by undergraduate admission counselors, the Graduate School, and the Leeds School of Business. Transcript evaluation is a year-round activity, though approximately 80% of this work occurs between November 1 and April 1.
Continuing Education and Professional Development:
  • Stay up-to-date on evaluation standards, adjustments in foreign education systems, educational practices, and the latest information on academic policy with regard to international credentialing. This will be done through membership and active participation in professional organizations such as NAFSA, TAICEP, AACRAO, and EducationUSA. This will also include the use of webinars and other resources produced by organizations such as WES, ECE, and Scholaro. Attendance at in-person professional events, seminars, and conventions may also be required.
Creation and Maintenance of Training Tools:
  • Document existing transcript evaluation procedures and develop new processes and document the corresponding procedures. The position will use these materials to train seasonal staff to assist in the completion of transcript evaluations. This position will serve as a resource for other campus partners in the interpretation and evaluation if international transcripts.
Supervision of Seasonal Credential Evaluators:
  • Supervise several seasonal staff who perform international credential evaluation during the busiest season of November through March. This will include hiring, training, goal setting in conjunction with the international team supervisor, approving work hours, and tracking timesheets for roughly two to three seasonal staff each cycle.
