CU Boulder's Department of Mechanical Engineering encourages applications for a part-time Lab Assistant! This position will aid the PI in designing and constructing electronic lab apparatus to facilitate academic research.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Under the supervision and guidance of the PI, design, construct, test, and deploy various Electro mechanical research products. Rigorous communication, validation, and assessment are essential to ensure that project needs are satisfied. The ability to work seamlessly with others is also essential as this is a team project. 

This project requires a combination of electrical engineering skills including embedded hardware and software development, radio frequency circuit analysis and design, digital signal processing, FPGA programming, microcontroller design and programming, circuit board design, and fabrication.

What We Require

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or computer science. 
  • Demonstrated project experience designing and constructing embedded circuits.

What You Will Need

  • Digital signal processing and experience with software-defined radio hardware and software tools.
  • Radio frequency circuit analysis and design experience. 

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Masters' Degree in electrical engineering is preferred, as is prior project experience in FPGA design.
