Job Summary
The University of Colorado Law School seeks a faculty member to join its Teaching Faculty Team and expand our Academic Support program. As Colorado Law seeks to build and further enhance the status and national reputation of our program and faculty, we are especially interested in candidates with prior academic support experience and strong leadership skills. This is a 9-month academic year position on the Teaching Professor track.
Who We Are
We are an engaged, diverse, and inclusive community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who help one another succeed. Our selective admissions process keeps our student body small, enabling our faculty, staff, alumni, and community to invest deeply in each student’s success, while preserving space for innovative faculty research. Because we take our responsibility to educate and train future lawyers very seriously, our curriculum, research centers, and experiential learning opportunities are designed to prepare students for success in today’s changing legal environment.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The position holder will be responsible for designing and implementing academic support programs for both the 1L class and for the international students in the L.L.M. program who intend to take a bar exam. These duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Teaching the Spring semester 1L class, Legal Analysis, and continuing the course evolution and development;
- Coordinating with 1L faculty to integrate Next Gen bar skill sessions into the curriculum, as well as creating new opportunities for 1L students to gain experience in the Next Gen exam skills;
- Designing and teaching basic learning skill workshops for 1Ls in the fall semester;
