Job Summary

The Department of Communication in the College of Communication, Media, Design and Information (CMDI) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applicants for lecturer teaching positions for Fall 2025. Lecturers at the University of Colorado are temporary faculty and are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis. There is potential for recurring reappointment with this position.

The position will begin August 14, 2025, the start of Fall Term 2025.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

We welcome applications from those with expertise in all domains of human communication and are particularly interested in candidates whose teaching experience aligns with courses on Communication and Gender; Discourse and Identity; and Business and Professional Communication. Courses will typically be offered in-person but in exceptional circumstance, remote modality may be possible. The course load for this position may include one to two 3-credit courses, depending on enrollment needs. The successful candidate will have pedagogical expertise in communication and a commitment to undergraduate student success. The position is 100% teaching.

The compensation for the position is $5,737.35 per 3-credit course.

  • An MA in Communication is required at the time of appointment, with a PhD preferred. 
  • The successful candidate will have pedagogical expertise in communication and a commitment to undergraduate student success.

A Ph.D. in communications, preferred.
