The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a Lecturer position in Social Responsibility and Sustainability Division for Spring 2025 to teach 3-4 courses.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching both required and elective courses in legal topics, business ethics, and critical thinking at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Duties include developing and refining curricula for these subjects and collaborating with Leeds Centers and divisions involved in the creation and delivery of related curricula.

Under general supervision of department chair, a person in this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses. In addition to preparing for and holding classes [face-to-face], teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students' work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. In addition, workload may involve advising students and/or providing other service to the department. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.

The role also offers opportunities for guest lectures and presentations that connect business, ethics, and social responsibility to broader societal contexts. Candidates with strong records in relevant areas are encouraged to apply.

What We Can Offer

This is a one-semester contract. The salary range for this appointment is $6,700-$9,000 per course depending on the number of courses taught in the semester as well as the level of course being taught.

What We Require

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
  • At least one year of practice experience in an area of business law or a closely related field.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • An earned Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) or Master's degree in business from a regionally accredited institution.
  • License to practice law in a state in the U.S.
  • Prior and relevant teaching experience.
  • Ability or interest in teaching in-person/online classes.
  • Relevant industry experience.
