Job Summary
The CU Bookstore in Boulder invites applications for the Limelight Sales Floor Manager! This position functions as the Store Manager of the CU Book Store Limelight Hotel location, with responsibility for the general management of the store. Responsibilities will include supervising staff and student associates, ensuring customer service standards are followed, inventory control, visual merchandising, and point of sale (POS) accuracy. This role will collaborate with Hotel General Manager and CU Book Store main campus staff members. This is a 40 hour per week position with 100% time spent on-site. Workdays and hours will vary and will include weekends and occasional holidays.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
General operation of the store:
- Responsible for daily operations of the store.
- Train associates to follow customer service standards and ensure standards are being followed.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Report general maintenance issues to appropriate parties. Follow up on completion of reported issues.
- Train associates on POS and ERP software. Handle complex customer services issues that arise and problem solve according to store standards.
- Maintain a general knowledge of standard processes for retail software, hardware, and payment processing systems.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Ensure accounting for daily cash revenue is completed and deposits are delivered to central accounting office.
- Plan for hotel events and make necessary arrangement for increased sales or varied merchandising model.
- Collaborate with Hotel General Manager and Book Store main campus departments as needed.
Supervising staff and student associates:
- Assist with recruiting and hiring associates.
- Create and implement plans and reviews for all associates.
- Create and implement disciplinary action and corrective plans when necessary.
- Responsible for submitting time sheets and approving leave for all associates.
- Schedule associates to ensure store is staffed as needed.
- Ensure that associates have the resources they need to succeed in their scheduled position.
- Provide any necessary guidance associates need for merchandising decisions, restocking priorities, adherence to trained procedures, and best customer service practices.
- Create and take responsibility for daily tasks list.
Inventory control and merchandising:
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Manager and the Buying team to ensure inventory is accurate. Complete cycle counts as needed and report inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager.
- Audit stock transfers to the Store.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Manager, the Buying Team, and the Distribution Center Team to ensure store inventory levels are maintained and best sellers are replenished in a timely manner.
- Ensure inbound product is processed in a timely manner.
- Request store supplies as needed.
- Follow visual merchandising guidelines to ensure product is displayed for optimal sales. Collaborate with the main store visual merchandising coordinator on all visual merchandising in the store. Follow promotional calendar and ensure promotional product/signage is set up/taken down in a timely manner.
- Assist in planning and completion of physical inventory.

- The salary range for this position is $54,960 - $60,000 per year.

What We Require
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of retail/customer service experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
What You Will Need
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills and time management.
- Problem Solving.
What We Would Like You to Have
- 3+ years of retail/customer service experience.
- 3+ years of supervision.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite).
- Experience with POS systems (NetSuite).
- Experience in Project management.
