Job Summary
The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a MacOS/iOS Endpoint Administrator! This position will be responsible for building and deploying OS images, building and deploying complex software packages and contributing to the development of standard processes and procedures for deploying and managing campus MacOS/iOS lab endpoints. This role will work alongside other full time staff team members as well as temporary and student employees and will collaborate with the Endpoint Management Services (EMS), Identity Management (IDM), and Systems Engineering (SE) teams which provides infrastructure services in support of labs. This position provides advanced support for all MacOS/iOS labs and requires experience with MacOS and iOS management tools such as Jamf Pro (formerly Casper), Jamf Connect, and Apple School. This position will receive supervision and direction from the LST Labs Services manager.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
MacOS/iOS Client Management:
This position will:
- Manage and deploy complex software to MacOS/iOS clients in campus computer lab environments,
- Assist in the design and implementation of technologies and processes that provide complex software to clients and using sound management practices,
- Work through complex software requests to support instructional needs and figure out best solution to deploy to lab endpoints.
- Work with a large software catalog spanning over 200 various types of software titles and navigate the intricacies of managing and deploying these titles to multi-user lab endpoints across campus.
- Show proficiency in packaging of software with custom configurations that will be unique to different end-users.
- Work directly with end-users to understand their needs and to help guide decisions on how to deploy software to lab endpoints.
- Resolve manageability requirements based upon operating system specifications and evaluate its benefit to the work unit and end-users using current industry directions, staffing and support requirements, and technical merit.
- Assist in settling the technical direction the work unit will take in future deployments of MacOS/iOS and software, taking into account industry directions and the needs of the end-user.
MacOS/iOS Deployment and Design
This position will:
- Assist in the design and configuration of the MacOS operating system that support multi-user environments as well as the policies that govern the end-user experience.
- Assist in the implementation of Jamf Connect for authentication purposes on managed MacOS devices.
- Work with various IT groups on campus to use campus identity management services and cloud services (i.e. cloud storage and Azure services).
- Leverage provisioning and management solutions (ie Jamf Pro and Apple School) as appropriate.
- Build and deploy complex software packages and policies with Jamf Pro tools.
- Assist in determining the technical direction for future MacOS/iOS deployments, taking into account industry directions and the needs of the end-user.
Temp and Student Staff Management.
This position will:
- Provide guidance and knowledge to temporary staff and student workers to help the work unit succeed in their job duties.
- Effectively manage temporary staff and student workers and act as the hiring manager for these positions.
- Develop and perform training of MacOS and iOS skills to temp and student staff.

- This position is a hybrid position, expected 3 days a week onsite with 2 days remote. Schedules are flexible between the University business hours.

- $66,300 - $74,712.

What We Require
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. A combination of education and/or related experience as described below may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.
- 1 year of experience which includes the following:
- Deployment of MacOS devices in an enterprise environment;
- Integration of MacOS systems with JamfConnect;
- Working with MacOS client management tools, specifically JAMF Pro management suite and Apple Remote Desktop;
- JAMF Training.
