Job Summary

The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Colorado Boulder is currently seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the interdisciplinary area of Biomedical Engineering. The College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder, a tier-one professional school, is the highest ranked engineering college in the Rocky Mountain time-zone.  The openings are targeted at the levels of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials will be considered for a Full Professor appointment.  The positions will be associated with the College’s new Biomedical Engineering Program. The positions will be rostered in the Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering.

Successful candidates will be expected to engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching, contribute professional service, and develop vigorous, externally funded research programs in their technical areas.  Candidates whose expertise cuts across engineering and related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should describe their plans to develop a recognized research program based on scholarly work in their particular field, their ideas for interdisciplinary collaboration, their experience and interests in teaching undergraduates and graduates, and their future plans for inspiring diverse students to conduct research.  CEAS is interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their research, teaching, and service to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

What We Require

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field.

What We Would Like You To Have

Within the broad Biomedical Engineering area, candidates with specialty in the areas of Biomedical Imaging, Biosensors, Bioinstrumentation, Medical Devices and Neuroengineering are encouraged to apply.
