Job Summary

The Medical Services department of Physical Therapy and Integrative Care (PTIC) encourages applications for a Physical Therapist position! This position will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and education. This role will attend and participate in department and organization meetings on a regular basis, assist with ancillary projects and outreach events, and represent the PTIC Department on assigned committees.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Patient Care: 
  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
  • Educate patients on present condition(s) and instruct on preventative aspects of self-care to facilitate and maintain a higher level of wellness.
  • Complete accurate and timely EHR documentation and charges for all patient interactions.
  • Assist in ensuring physical therapy aides, student assistants, and volunteers function within their appropriate scope.
  • Communicate/collaborate with other health care providers.
  • Incorporate clinical expertise, patient values, and current best evidence into daily clinical practice.
Administration, Projects, Outreach: 
  • Attend, participate, and potentially lead business and education meetings for the PTIC department and HW Medical Services, and Diversity events/programs. 
  • Participate in peer reviews of colleagues and in quality improvement activities as assigned. 
  • Participate in HW Medical Services committee activities.
  • Understand the working operations of HW Medical Services and the CU Boulder Strategic Resources and Support.
  • Participate in policy and procedure developing, drafting, editing, and revising.

What You Should Know

This is a full-time, in-person position with an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm during the fall and spring semester, and Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm in the summer. This role is not expected to work University recognized holidays or evenings and will not be on call at any time.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $84,400 annually.

What We Require

  • Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy program. 
  • Accepting new graduates as applicants - must have completed at least one final clinical rotation in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Physical Therapy license with State of Colorado by the date of hire. 
  • BLS Certificate within 3 months of hire. 
  • Eligible for clinical privileges as determined by the MS Credentialing and Privileging Department. 

What You Will Need

  • Basic functional computer skills (experience with Windows based systems).
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills.
  • Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Certification/proficiency and/or interest in pursuing certification for treating pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Certified in Dry Needling.
  • Past experience in outpatient orthopedic clinic with age range 18-25 or college aged population. 
  • Previous EHR experience.
