Job Summary
Medical Services at CU Boulder is searching for a Physical Therapy Aide! This position supports the Orthopedic Health and Integrative Care (OHIC) department at Medical Services for all patient needs. Administrative and clinic duties include handling scheduling needs, phone calls for referral/protocol information and customer service, general administrative tasks such as monitoring fax/electronic communication, performing data queries. The role also completes tasks to support providers during patient care, completes clinic maintenance including organization of equipment, cleaning tables, managing/stocking supplies and linens, and mentors and guiding student volunteers in the clinic.

Our skilled team of providers collaborate to support the overall health of our students with our team of physicians/nurses, physical therapists, registered dietitians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Administrative & Scheduling:
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of Medical Services scheduling and patient care policies and procedures.
- Schedule new and established patients for OHIC in person.
- Collect appropriate outside documentation for medical records; post-operative reports, protocols, and referrals.
- Review the upcoming schedule, correct errors or concerns to ensure quick resolution.
- Support the communication and process during system outages, unplanned closures, or other related occurrences.
- Assist with rescheduling patients when a provider is out sick or other scheduling problems arise.
- Assist providers and management with special administrative projects as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Assist patients in wayfinding and communicating with individual departments as needed.
- May include taking credit card payments.
- Other administrative tasks corresponding to front line work such as assisting in data collection, updating forms, or creation and maintenance of documents to support staff.
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patient(s) and treatment areas for care:
- Ensure rooms are ready, appropriate forms have been completed, clients are properly dressed.
- Initiate warm-ups as necessary.
- Take appropriate vitals as necessary.
- Administer various modality treatments under direct supervision of therapist.
- Instruct and supervise exercises under the direction and guidance of a therapist.
- Clinic Maintenance:
- Ensure treatment tables and other equipment are cleaned/disinfected.
- Ensure linen is stocked, exercise equipment is put away, and workstations are clean, tidy and organized.
- Assist management and providers with special projects as assigned.
- Assist with clinic inventory counts.
- Assist with training clinic student assistants and volunteers as needed.
What You Should Know
- This is an in-person position with an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- This role is not expected to work University recognized holidays, weekends, or evenings, and will not be on call at any time.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $45,096 - $54,120 annually.

What We Require
- Two years of experience in a related field of work. Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
What You Will Need
- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to be detail oriented.
- Strong Microsoft office skills, especially in Excel, including spreadsheet presentation and management.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience with customer service.
- Background or understanding of insurance verification processes.
