A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the Adelita Mendoza Research Group in the Department of Biochemistry at University of Colorado Boulder.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • The key responsibilities of the candidate will be to perform research elucidating the structure of remodeled lysosomes in C. elegans, and transition metal distribution, mentor graduate/undergraduate students, contribute to regular lab duties, and contribute to a safe lab environment.

What We Require

  • A PhD in Biochemistry.

What You Will Need

  • The candidate should have a background in Biochemistry and transition metal biology. Proficiency in super-resolution imaging, maintaining and conducting basic experiments manipulating zinc with C. elegans, and RNAseq analysis.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • A basic knowledge of cryo- EM techniques and a willingness to become proficient in cryo-tomography. The candidate should be willing to collaborate with other lab members and with collaborators outside of CU Boulder.  Mentorship experience with undergraduates is also desirable.
