Job Summary

The Department of Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder is soliciting applications from interested parties regarding an upcoming opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the x-ray/neutron/Raman scattering group of Professor Dmitry Reznik. The Postdoc is expected to participate in the ongoing cutting-edge research on quantum materials as well as initiate his/her own projects.

The candidate will be taking advantage of explosive advances in neutron and x-ray instrumentation in the USA, Europe, and Japan, as well as the time-resolved Raman scattering lab at CU. There will be many opportunities to collaborate with other local research groups, especially as a part of the Center for Experiments on Quantum Materials. Nearby laboratories of JILA, NIST, and NREL provide additional opportunities.

What We Require

The candidates are required to have a PhD in physics or a related field. The candidates must be self-motivated, as well as have significant prior research accomplishments. Prior experience in neutron x-ray and/or Raman scattering as well as in lattice dynamics calculations and quantum information science is desired, but not required.
