Job Summary

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position working with the groups of Ryan Hayward and Dan Schwartz! This position will have the opportunity to initiate a new research collaboration involving the characterization of polymers using single molecule fluorescence microscopy techniques.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Experimental research related to tracking dynamics of polymer molecules using fluorescence microscopy;
  • Analysis and interpretation of results;
  • Preparation of written reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication;
  • Mentoring of junior researchers.

What We Can Offer

The salary for this position will be $52,000 per year.

What We Require

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field. 

What You Will Need

Strong background in quantitative data analysis and computational skills.

What We Would Like You To Have

Experience working with polymers, fluorescence methods, and/or optical microscopy is desirable.
