SILC is looking for a 12-month Postdoctoral Associate starting as soon as possible.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Designing and implementing data science pipelines for processing and predictive analytics locally and on the cloud.
  • Delivering science ready data products and services for in-house analysis and external partners.
  • Maintaining code bases and ensuring full reproducibilty.
  • Working with a broader team of subject experts, data scientists, engineers, and designers for application design.

What You Should Know

  • Eligibility to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • It is expected this position will work 32 hours a week.

Salary is $55,000.00.

What We Require

  • PhD in data science or engineering related fields.
  • High proficiency in Python incl. geospatial packages and machine learning tools.
  • Solid knowledge of high performance computing in the cloud using,Azure, AWS, GoogleCloud Platform: and both SQL and no SQL databases.
  • Experience with Google Earth Engine and Microsoft's Planetary Computer a +.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
