Job Summary
The Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST) within the Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking one or more full-time Postdoctoral researchers to support a variety of projects focused on assessment of buried infrastructure under extreme loading scenarios (e.g., earthquakes) and life-cycle assessment of state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies for critical infrastructure. The projects are advancements to growing research needs across a variety of lifeline systems and build upon recent/current research programs, such as DOE/ARPA-e REPAIR which established a framework of physical testing and modeling to enhance the performance and longevity of existing pipeline infrastructure. The projects span multiple universities and intersect with stakeholders across utilities and regulatory agencies to translate the developed knowledge and technologies into engineering practice.
Based in Boulder, Colorado, the position is available immediately and applicants will be reviewed until the positions are filled. The research team includes Prof. Brad Wham, CIEST laboratory staff and students at CU along with collaborators across academic and industry sectors.
