Job Summary
The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement welcomes applications for the Pre-Collegiate Development Programs Coordinator! The PCDP Coordinator supports students in the University of Colorado Boulder Pre-Collegiate Development Programs, guiding seventh- through twelfth-grade participants from target middle and high schools as they transition to high school and prepare for higher education. Responsibilities include conducting outreach across 25 middle and 25 high schools, fostering partnerships with school personnel, and recruiting students while building strong, culturally responsive relationships with them and their families to promote academic success. Serving as a liaison between the university and educational organizations statewide, this role collaborates with program directors to deliver impactful programming across 40+ schools, including coordinating middle school leadership and summer residential programs. A strong dedication to educational integrity, cultural competence, and student empowerment is essential.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Academic Program Operations:
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director to provide educational services to middle and high school students and their parents/guardians.
- Assist the Assistant Director in planning, coordinating, and completing Saturday Academy’s logistics and other program events, including:
- Facilitating student and parent workshops
- Organizing student panels
- Managing meal orders
- Assist in creating surveys for post academy evaluations
- Collaborate with Assistant Director in designing precollege curriculum.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitating training sessions for student staff during Saturday Academies, with the assistant director.
- Provide academic guidance and community-building activities for students and families from targeted schools.
- Work with school personnel to support recruitment, collect necessary documentation (e.g., applications, transcripts), and advise students on academic coursework for post-secondary readiness.
- Collaborate with other CU System precollege outreach programs to coordinate activities, optimize resources, and ensure program efficiency.
Summer Program Implementation:
- Serve as a Live-In Advisor, residing in the dorms during the high school summer residential program, covering morning and/or night shifts over the duration of the four weeks, schedule to be set between Assistant Director and both program coordinators.
- Facilitate student staff meetings throughout the program duration.
- Assist the Assistant Director in providing one-on-one supervision for student staff.
- Support the Assistant Director in facilitating training for residential program student staff.
- Address and resolve operational or student-related concerns during the program.
- Serve as substitute teacher during the summer academic residential program as needed.
- Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, ensure compliance with Youth Protection Compliance Office safety measures.
- Assist the Assistant Director in planning, coordinating, and leading the Rising Ninth Grade Summer Leadership Program. This includes helping to organize and facilitate the program’s daily schedule, activities, check-in/check-out processes, and the award ceremony.
Caseload Management:
- Provide supplemental advising for 11th-grade students transitioning into the program’s Senior Year Track.
- Collaborate with the Precollege Senior Transition Senior Program Manager to develop transition plans for students and families as they prepare for their senior year.
- Maintain regular communication with students in the assigned caseload to track academic progress, attendance, and engagement.
- Connect students with academic resources, tutoring, mentorship, and college preparation workshops, offered by the program.
Communication & Outreach:
- Prepare and deliver presentations for recruitment efforts on and off campus.
- Coordinate with the Campus Visit Coordinator to secure student staff facilitators for campus visits.
- Work with Communication Intern to develop, guide, and manage social media content under the guidance of the Assistant Director.
Data and Reporting:
- Track metrics through participant surveys and research on the best methodologies for high school students transitioning into college.
- Co-create surveys to assess students' and families’ experiences and needs to inform programming success and metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation, academic progress, and program interventions. Prepare reports and updates to assess student needs and program effectiveness.
- Track and manage program data for student and parent participation.
- Collect and report data from the Summer Residential and Middle School Leadership Programs.
Event Planning and Management:
- Help coordinate academic year and summer finale program celebrations and support day-of event needs.
- Coordination details include but are not limited to: scheduling space for events, scheduling classrooms and labs and ordering and confirming food.
What You Should Know
This position will work a hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in-office, 2 days per week remote.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary for this position is $54,000 annually.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; a combination of education and experience may substitute.
