The Professional Experiences Coordinator will serve a critical role in supporting currently enrolled students and recent alumni in accessing and participating in work-based learning.

We are looking for an organized and motivated individual who is excited to harness their program coordination strengths to provide experiential learning opportunities that help CU Boulder students to build and articulate their workplace-readiness skills. This position is both administrative and collaborative, partnering internally with a large, dynamic Career Services’ department and externally with campus and employers to provide a variety of programs and services.

From industry-recognized certificates to work simulations to employer-hosted professional projects and startup internship pitch nights, the Professional Experiences Coordinator will be centrally involved in administrating a robust portfolio of offerings – all aimed at building experience and honing competencies.

In addition, this role will be focused on ensuring programming has effective workflows, students know about opportunities and participants have an inviting contact in Career Services who is committed to seeing them successfully navigate experiences meaningful to their professional development.

A successful Professional Experiences Coordinator will be able to identify gaps and meet the needs of Buffs as we serve students both in person and online.

Who We Are

The Division of Student Life consists of 30 departments that provide student support and services dedicated to helping students become successful, curious, competent individuals during their time at CU Boulder.

The work in Student Life supports all factors of the student experience, no matter what department a staff member may work in. This includes where students live, eat, make friends, build professional skills and find help if they need it. Many departments provide involvement opportunities, educational resources and support services to help students find their community and build lifelong skills. Student Life also has shared services departments that support the work and staff of our student-facing areas, including areas like center for assessment, insight and research, business services, finance, employee experience, communication and marketing and technology solutions.

Career Services

Career Services prepares CU Boulder students and alumni for their current and future goals through developing skills, facilitating connections and increasing self-knowledge. The team leads a comprehensive career-focused infrastructure for campus through tailored career planning, programs and resources for all colleges as well as providing access to professional experiences for students. Additionally, the department acts as an entry-point for hiring needs while cultivating strong employer partnerships to serve the university.
