Job Summary
This hourly position in the Renée Crown Wellness Institute incorporates facilitation of the mind.boyd.voice. prevention program. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Research Assistants generally work in a collaborative role to ensure quality delivery of programming.
Who We Are
The Institute addresses pressing problems in the lives of children and youth, starting as early as possible in development and continuing through college. Key areas of interest include the study of mindfulness, compassion, belonging, and agency. Research programs also address disparities in mental health, wellness, and education associated with gender, race, ethnicity, linguistic diversity, geography, income, and other structural and systemic inequities. We develop interdisciplinary research-practice partnerships where researchers, families, teachers, young people, and community members work together as equal partners. We co-design and study practices, programs, and policies that foster wellness among children and youth, families and caregivers, and educators.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

- Deliver mind.body.voice. workshops in Health Classes
What You Should Know
This position is paid hourly, with 5-10 hours per week expected, and is not eligible for benefits. This position is not expected to last past December 31, 2025.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a social science, preferably psychology or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant research experience or a combination of relevant research and administrative experience, including working with human subjects.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Proficiency with computers and common programs (email, Zoom, online data tracking systems).
- Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve.
- Excellent openness to feedback, eagerness to learn, and commitment to the aims of the research project.
- Flexibility with work hours.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as collaboratively with local and remote collaborators.
- Adaptability, ability to set and track realistic goals, and capacity to hold multiple responsibilities and competing demands.
