Job Summary

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Professional Research Assistant. The primary responsibilities will be to synthesize monomers according to developed protocols, to characterize those compounds via NMR and mass spectroscopy, to use those compounds in the generation of polymeric materials, and to assist graduate students and other researchers with additional analyzation and synthesis as required. While familiarity with polymer chemistry and analytical methods (e.g. gel permeation chromatography) may be useful, a proven footing in synthetic organic chemistry is the foremost prerequisite for this position. Due to the collaborative nature of the research, applicants should be comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently.
