The Spencer Lab is encouraging applications for a lab manager to help manage the lab and help perform research related to cell proliferation.

The Spencer Lab is a collaborative and interdisciplinary lab working at the interface of cell biology, cancer biology, and systems biology with a focus on single-cell heterogeneity. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The lab manager would take care of lab organization including lab calendar and lab events, ordering of supplies, maintenance of equipment, making reagents for general lab use, autoclaving, filling out MTAs, filing reimbursements, etc. The remaining time would be spent on helping to build CRISPR cell lines and helping out with other lab members’ projects. In addition, the lab manager could take on a project of their own if desired, time permitting. 

What You Should Know

The start date is somewhat flexible; the ideal start date is January 1st, 2021.

What We Require

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences and experience with molecular biology research. 

What We Would Like You To Have

Experience with cloning, human cell culture, building cell lines, and lab management is a plus.
