The Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering (ECEE) is seeking a Professional Research Assistant to work on technical and compliance tasks in support of lab research.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Responsibilities include tabulating lab results, carrying out electrical measurements of device characteristics, maintaining fabrication run documentation, using software systems for measurements and data analysis, and tracking expenditures in support of compliance with awards.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this position will be $55,000 - $65,000 per year.

What We Require

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in a technical environment, including electrical and chemistry tasks.
  • Experience in proposal writing and editing/proofreading.
  • Experience in carrying out and documenting laboratory measurements.

What You Will Need

  • Skills in operation of basic laboratory systems (sensors, microscopes, chemical gloveboxes, fume hoods, vacuum equipment) and basic electronics.
  • Substantial knowledge of software systems, e.g., Excel, HTML.
  • Experience in writing and editing of grant proposals and technical documentation.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Master's degree in science or policy.
  • Excellent communications skills, and broad experience interacting with scientists and engineers.
  • Experience in technical website development and maintenance.
