Job Summary
The Chuong Laboratory investigates how transposable elements shape gene regulatory networks in mammalian health and disease. We combine genomics (bulk and long-read RNA-seq, single-cell analysis), epigenomic profiling (CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq), and functional genomics (CRISPR/Cas9 editing, high-throughput screens) to study how transposable elements shape gene regulation. We focus primarily on gene regulatory networks involved in immune responses and cancer. Our overall objective is to decode the hidden transposon-mediated impact on human biology and to apply these insights to advance human health. This position is for a Professional Research Assistant who will be responsible for generating experimental data in support of multiple projects in the lab.
