Job Summary

The position involves work on the SerialEM software package for automated data acquisition from electron microscopes.  The work will primarily entail working directly on SerialEM in C++, which includes: diagnosing and fixing bugs in existing code; developing and implementing new methods for particular tasks to be performed by the program; developing or enhancing user interfaces, functions, and data structures to support various operations; and documentation of existing code and program structure where needed.  The program includes extensive documentation for users that needs to be updated for new capabilities.  The work may also include maintenance of the packages for distribution, supporting users who encounter problems, and preparation of training materials for users.

What We Require

  • A bachelors degree in physical or biological science or a related field.
  • Development experience in C++ and Python.
