Job Summary
The Center for Aging, Climate, and Health (CACHE) is recruiting a temporary part-time Program Administrator. This role supports the ongoing administration of a virtual research center coordinated across five institutions, bringing together interdisciplinary scholars examining connections between aging, climate, and health. The temporary CACHE Program Administrator will support and track various Center offerings such as pilot grants, trainings, and workshops. The position will also assist with scheduling and implementing new initiatives, while also ensuring clear communication with Center affiliates.
The Center for Aging, Climate, and Health is a joint effort led by five population research units:
- University of Colorado Boulder (CU) Population Center (CUPC)
- City University of New York (CUNY) Institute for Demographic Research (CIDR)
- University of Washington, Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE)
- University of Minnesota, Minnesota Population Center (MPC)
- Colegio de Mexico, Centro de Estudios Demograficos, Urbanos y Ambientales

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The duties and responsibilities listed below apply to work supporting the Center for Aging, Climate, and Health and includes project-based support for their partners.
Project Coordination:
- Understand and integrate CACHE’s mission, initiatives, projects, processes, and relationships with collaborators and others.
- Design, implement, and evaluate processes to support the ongoing work of CACHE.
- Develop tracking, evaluation practices, and tools to assist in the accomplishment of established project goals and objectives.
- Regularly communicate project updates, outcomes, and requirements to relevant collaborators.
- Engage with vendor partners (e.g. meeting venues) as appropriate to identify and resolve issues and to ensure compliance with applicable projects, procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Schedule meetings, assist with project expectations, and monitor work progress of and for individuals and project teams.
- Maintain regular contact with key faculty and staff collaborators, ensuring accountability on progress relative to project and program goals.
Collaborator Reporting and Communications:
- In collaboration with other Center staff, prepare and distribute special communications to diverse collaborator groups and communities.
- Collect feedback using variety of tools (Qualtrics, google survey, debriefing meetings) and input from Center affiliates and diverse collaborators.
What You Should Know
- This is a hybrid position, primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings and activities that require being onsite.
What We Can Offer
- We anticipate this assignment lasting 4-5 months
- During training, hours will start at 5-10 per week, then increase to 20 hours per week after training.
- Salary/What We Can Offer: $30.76 - $33.65

What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field. A combination of education and relevant experience as described below may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- One year of professional, job-related experience in project management, working in diverse teams, groups, and/or collaborative environments.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

What We Would Like You to Have
- 3+ years of professional, job-related experience in project management, working in diverse teams, groups, and/or collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with research administration
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Asana, Trello, or Office Project.
- Experience with university-level and collaborative programs or initiatives in online modalities.
