Job Summary

Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a Program Coordinator! This role coordinates with students regarding our entrepreneurship course offerings and co-curricular activities. This includes providing information on our courses, certificate programs, internships, mentorship opportunities, events and competitions; advising students on different options for pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities and educational offerings; developing awareness of entrepreneurship courses and activities, and collaborating closely with faculty, advisors, the community, and directors.

In addition, the Program Coordinator will lead administrative operations including the planning and conducting of all Center’s events, managing the student ambassador team, coordination of external rural Colorado workshops, and overall support of the Center’s daily activities.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Coordinating Student Services and Events

  • Advise students and provide a high-quality experience around entrepreneurship.
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage Deming Center student ambassador team.
  • Lead event planning, operations, and activities for all undergraduate programming.
  • Lead and grow the Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies program.
  • Create, operate, and coordinate startup resources for students such as our Startups & Sandwiches Series, Demystifying Entrepreneurship Series and Now What? programs.
  • Liaise with student entrepreneurship clubs on campus.

Coordinating External Community Events and Partnerships

  • Plan, implement, and drive operations of the Center’s Rural Colorado Workshop Series.
  • Collaborate with rural Colorado partners to ensure the success of the program.
  • Assist in grant writing to fund the rural Colorado workshops.

Support of Daily Activities

  • Submit required paperwork and processes for Center activities and operations.
  • Drive efficiencies in Center operations and assist in metrics tracking through use of CRM software such as Salesforce.
  • Liaise with the accounting department to confirm the proper process for expense reimbursement.
  • Liaise with the Leeds advancement department to engage interested community members.
  • Assist in supporting events on campus.

Development of New Programming

  • Each member of our team has ownership and opportunities to create new programs for our students and/or community to further our impact.
  • Survey current students to determine gaps and opportunities for innovative programming.
  • Collaborate with students to create and pilot new programs based on survey results. Monitor programs for effectiveness.

Collaboration with Key Partners

  • Facilitate high-quality interactions among faculty, advisors, Directors, students, and the community.
  • Meet with and facilitate strong relationships with community members interested in engaging with the Center.
  • Collaborate closely with campus innovation & entrepreneurship partners to drive engagement and strong relationships between entrepreneurial hubs on campus.

This position offers a hybrid work modality with both on-site and remote work hours, including minimal evening and weekend event support.

What We Can Offer

The hiring range for this position is $46,000-$53,000 annually. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis).
  • 1 year of relevant professional work experience.
