Job Summary

The Leeds Career Development Office within the Leeds School of Business welcomes applications for a Program Coordinator. The Leeds Career Development Office is the hub for professional development for over 3,400 undergraduates at the Leeds School of Business. This Office is tasked with achieving the School's career readiness and placement goals by delivering the professional competencies and alumni and employer connections necessary to support career advancement and success. 
 
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Assistant Director of Internships & Professional Experiences to enhance and expand opportunities for internships and experiential learning at Leeds. The Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Internships & Professional experience and be responsible for supporting new initiatives designed to deliver career competencies and connections, including Career Treks, Shadow Days and the coordination of project/consulting opportunities for students.  In addition, the position will support the logistics and communications of a range of current professional experiences, including Leeds Professional Mentorship Program (PMP).  The position will provide logistical and communication support to enhance student awareness of and participation in internships and professional experiences, including posting opportunities on the campus-wide job board, Handshake, and supporting on-campus recruiting logistics. 
 
The Program Coordinator also will assist with the tracking of the Career Assignments incorporated into the core curriculum for first-year and sophomore students in the Communication Strategy and BASE courses, and will support the delivery of professional experiences in current or new course offerings, such as the Internship Accelerator.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Coordination of Internships/Experiential Learning 
  • Provide logistical and tracking support for a broad range of professional experiences, including traditional internships, project- or consulting-based opportunities, and other non-traditional offerings. 
  • Develop processes for communicating opportunities to students, vetting and connecting students with companies, and supporting project logistics. 
  • Develop and analyze pre- and post-surveys for students and employers to assess internship quality and delivery of identified career competencies. 
  • Handle scheduling, student and employer support, and follow-up for other professional experiences, such as Shadow Days, informational interviews, and local Treks. 
  • Work with the Operations Team and LTS to build reports in Salesforce for tracking student engagement and outcomes from internships and experiential learning. 
  • Coordinate with Centers and Programs to communicate opportunities to students and to facilitate consistent tracking school-wide. 
  • Plan and implement professional workshops and events focused on Internships, such as internship fairs, speed-dating events with targeted employers, and targeted events for Centers. 
  • Work with the Assistant Director and Executive Director to set annual goals for participation in and learning outcomes from internships and professional experiences and report annually on progress towards goals.
On-campus Recruiting Logistics 
  • Work with the Employer Engagement team to manage the process and logistics for on-campus recruiting for jobs and internships.
  • Support Leeds employers in scheduling on-campus interviews.
  • Work with the Employer Engagement team to ensure that the interview process and schedules are communicated to students effectively.
  • Develop surveys for employers and students for feedback on the interview process and the caliber of Leeds candidates.
  • Collaborate with Employer Engagement team to create and facilitate logistics for local Treks and other employer-related experiential learning programs.
  • Ensure on-campus interviews are tracked in Salesforce and reported each semester.
  • Assist with logistics for large scale employer events (such as LEEDS day), large scale career fairs (such as Fall Career Kickoff and Business & Engineering Networking Night), as well as smaller events and programs held in the office.
Technical Evaluation & Program Efficiency
  • Ensure mentoring program participants are tracked consistently in Chronus and Salesforce platforms. 
  • Provide logistics and tracking support for the Career Assignments delivered through the Communication Strategy, BASE, and other BCOR courses in the future in Canvas and Salesforce platforms. 
  • Facilitate logistics - (tracking & milestone monitoring) of all mentoring student orientations for each new cohort (3x per year).
  • Assist with the matching process for the Professional Mentorship Program for over 600 students and mentors each year in the Chronus database.
  • Develop mentoring program surveys and participate in their analysis with end of year reports. Identify areas for improvement based on formal and informal feedback from students and mentors.
  • Create class reports each semester regarding student participation and progress in the BCOR courses. Develop recommendations for improvement in conjunction with Career Specialist and course faculty.

What We Can Offer

Anticipated starting salary is $48,000, commensurate upon experience.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution. 
  • Experience with project management and event planning for small groups (under 300 person). 
  • Experience developing surveys and analyzing survey data using Qualtrics or other survey tools. 
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate results effectively to different stakeholders. 
  • Strong technical/computer skills (Excel, G Suite, Microsoft 360)
  • Experience working in a professional environment with business clients.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Familiarity with the Leeds School of Business or with other undergraduate or graduate business programs. 
  • Experience in a logistics or project management role.
  • Experience working with or training college students and/or young professionals. 
  • Experience coordinating recruitment, internship programs, or training & development programs within a company or university setting.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, other CRM tools, common job boards such as Handshake or other applicant tracking systems.
