The Colorado Space Grant Consortium (COSGC) welcomes applicants for a Program Manager! This position coordinates the statewide consortium and core responsibilities include overseeing daily operations such as financial, procurement, travel, and HR processes, as well as grant administration and managing proposal and reporting requirements. Who We Are
The Colorado Space Grant Consortium is funded by NASA and is a state-wide organization involving 21 colleges, universities and institutions around Colorado. This organization is part of the University of Colorado Boulder and the College of Engineering and Applied Science, and provides Colorado students access to space through innovative courses, real-world hands-on projects, NASA-inspired programs, and interactive outreach programs.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Statewide Coordination:
- Manages the statewide Consortium (point of contact, financial, planning, reporting).
- Manages statewide scholarship programs and consortium development awards.
- Solves managerial or programmatic matters with program implementation at member institutions.
- Coordinates statewide activities including the annual research symposium, affiliate meetings, robotics challenge, and supports the Student Design Challenge programs.
- Assists with facilitation of the COSGC Student Design Challenge program.
- Works with Director to establish, track and report required cost match.
- Assists with the external evaluation process.
- Completes statewide data collection and other required reporting including entering data into the NASA Gateway database.
Financial and Administrative Oversight:
- Manages grants for base NASA funding and augmentation awards.
- Manages grant proposals for special projects via supplemental opportunities.
- Manages day-to-day financial operations, including running monthly payroll for around 40 individuals including students and staff.
- Collaborates with campus departments (state- and nation-wide) relevant to COSGC operations.
- Ensures program compliance with University and College policies.
- Manages subcontracts - including required cost-match tracking and reporting.
- Assists in developing student project and program budgets.
- Reviews and approve student hourly appointments provided by Project and Research Coordinators.
- Builds monthly budget reports for the Director.
- Makes recommendations on future funding levels needed to support COSGC's strategic goals.
- Supervises student administrative assistants.
Strategic Planning:
- Supports Director in development and execution of COSGC strategy and direction.
- Assists in the evaluation of COSGC programs based on NASA directives and goals.
- Participates at COSGC Advisory Board meetings.
- Proactively proposes solutions to improve Consortium programs.
Other:
- Undertakes other duties as assigned.
- Stays apprised and current on relevant University and State of Colorado policies and procedures.
- Participates in professional development activities and serves on unit, college or campus committees as applicable.

What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $65,000 - $72,800. Relocation assistance is available within CEAS guidelines.

- Bachelor's degree.
- Three or more years of relevant and related experience.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Graduate degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, or a STEM field.
- Five or more years of related experience.
- Previous experience working with students at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Budgeting and managerial skills, and experience in grant administration and finance in a university setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience and a genuine interest in developing a safe, inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment to students historically underrepresented in STEM fields.
- Experience with MyCUInfo Portal applications (HCM, SIS, Concur, PeopleSoft, CU-Data).
