Job Summary

CU Boulder's Public Health Office encourages applications for a Public Health/Illness Prevention Coordinator! This role will help develop, implement, and deliver educational content within the following areas: infectious and chronic disease prevention, physical activity promotion, injury prevention, and sexually transmitted infections.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Program Development and Implementation

  • Provide community education and resources in the key topic areas based on evidence-informed public health practices and ensure appropriate concepts, principles, and methods of health education are applied to practice.
  • Collaborate with campus partners and serve as a technical specialist in assigned program subject matter.
  • Plan and implement effective health education programs and evaluate the impact of education strategies.

This position offers a hybrid format of remote and in-person work.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this position is $43,000 - $58,000 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, natural sciences or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may substitute.
  • Two years of experience providing illness prevention or public health education including one year working with a college or university population.

What You Will Need

  • Knowledge of public health education principles and practices. Knowledge of effective preventive strategies. 

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Master’s degree in public health or a certified health education specialist credential.
  • Experience developing or reviewing and evaluating health-related informational material.
