Job Summary

The Laboratory of Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) is encouraging applications for a Recruiter to join our team! This position is responsible for LASP-wide recruiting, with the exception of tenured faculty, and sourcing activities. This role remains current and knowledgeable of the employment environment within the Denver Metro area in regards to specific skill availability and competitiveness. The Recruiter should have the ability to develop and maintain diversity sourcing capabilities and connections within the aerospace sector, including commercial and government sectors.

LASP is a world-renowned space science research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder. CU receives more NASA funding than any public university in the country, due in large part to LASP programs. Professional engineers work closely with scientists and assembly technicians in designing and building space flight hardware while helping mentor students as entry-level engineers working on these programs. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Build sourcing pipelines/networks for targeted talent pools using a variety of effective search methods and professional relationships.
  • Make recommendations on postings to attract strong and diverse candidate pools.
  • Research and provide recommendations for additional external posting sites.
  • Screen candidate materials for relevant skills, knowledge, and qualifications. Makes candidate recommendations to hiring managers.
  • May conduct initial interviews as requested.
  • Facilitate offers and employment negotiations.
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and dispositioning process, including maintaining Avature ATS.
  • Represent LASP to prospective candidates.
  • Work with division directors and hiring managers to assess current and future hiring needs for programs based on lab loading to create a sustainable staffing strategy and plan.
  • Align hiring strategy to long term hiring needs.
  • Keep abreast of labor trends that may impact labor supply and demand.
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.

What We Can Offer

$62,000.00 - $78,000.00.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Five years of experience in recruiting and sourcing.

What You Will Need

  • Familiarity with Colorado Equal Pay Act Law.
  • Knowledge of sourcing methods for various types of postings.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with coworkers and peers.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Experience recruiting in the aerospace/defense industry.
