Job Summary

The Leeds School of Business seeks a full-time Recruitment & Scholarship Coordinator in the Office of Recruitment and Scholarships. This position recruits new students and provides support in awarding undergraduate scholarships to incoming and current Leeds School of Business students to recruit and retain students.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Recruitment Coordination:

  • Contribute to and lead the recruitment plan for incoming first-year students in partnership with the Director of Recruitment and Scholarships. This includes building a competitive applicant pool, admitting students to Leeds, and yielding students to meet the enrollment goals of Leeds.
  • Specifically complete the talented scholar and diversity recruitment plan, with collaboration and oversight from the Director of Recruitment and Scholarships, Leeds Honors and Leeds Scholars programs, Leeds Office of Diversity Affairs, Women in Business programs, and Dean’s Leadership Fellows program.
  • Plan and lead Leeds-specific recruitment events including Leeds Preview Day and joint admissions visit days. Represent the University in a variety of settings such as high school presentations, college fairs, and on-campus and virtual visits and events.
  • Supervise the Leeds Ambassadors student employees (10-12 ambassadors).
  • Select, schedule and coordinate high school and college fair visits to recruit prospective students.
  • Serve as an active member of the admissions committee to read and review applications.
  • Partner with central Admissions on supporting alternative major/college options for non-admitted applicants.
  • Connect with students, faculty, staff and alumni to support the strategic recruitment goals of the college.
  • Lead communications plan (emails, mail, swag mailings) for prospective students in partnership with the Director of Recruitment and Scholarship.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with appropriate counselor, administrative and teacher contacts at high schools.
  • Foster relationships with pipeline programs including DECA and FBLA to ensure high visibility among those programs including school visits, conference travel, competition hosting, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families as they explore Leeds and navigate the application process.

Scholarship Coordination:

  • Support the Scholarship Services Coordinator in the annual undergraduate process for scholarship evaluation/awards and scholarship fund coordination and management.
  • Assist in the online scholarship application from design to implementation and launch to student selection and reporting.
  • With direction from the Scholarship Services Coordinator, facilitate dialogue with CU Boulder Advancement representatives to acquire current scholarship fund data, and prepare/update spreadsheet(s) outlining scholarship funds in place, award availabilities and other necessary management data.
  • Lend aid in budgeting ongoing scholarships to ensure adequate funding in coordination with the Office of Recruitment and Scholarships, Office of Advancement, and AP Office Coordinator.
  • Participate in the scholarship selection and award process, and ensure awards are made on time.
  • Coordinate scholarship committee meetings and provide committee all necessary data to determine scholarship awards.
  • Provide principal communication with parents and students on scholarship-related matters.
  • Work closely with the Scholarship Services Coordinator, CU Advancement Leeds Development Director, and gift officers to meet with prospective or current scholarship donors regarding award criteria and possibilities. Speak with donors about their concerns regarding scholarships. Provide strategic recommendations for new fund agreements or revision of fund agreements.
  • Advertise scholarship opportunities to current and prospective students to ensure deep applicant pools.
Collaboration:
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with various Leeds departments and campus enrollment offices, with participation in campus committees or working groups.

What You Should Know

The main schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends will be required (approximately 3-5 evenings and 2-3 weekends per semester).

This position offers a hybrid work modality with 4 days in person and 1 day remote each week. At different seasons throughout the year, there may be the opportunity to work 2-3 days in person per week, and the number of days working in person versus remote depends on the unit's need and prior agreement with the Director.

This position will require in-state travel. There may be an opportunity for out-of-state travel.

What We Can Offer

The annual hiring range for this position is $53,000-$55,000. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ years of experience in admissions, recruitment, scholarships, advising or a relevant field in higher education.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Experience recruiting students for a higher education or secondary school.
  • Experience with program administration and managing budgets.
  • Experience with scholarship programs, processes, and administration.
  • Experience with Slate, Salesforce, or a similar CRM.
  • 3+ years of experience in admissions, recruitment, scholarships, advising or a relevant field in higher education.
